The Dathan Project: A Fountain of Hope
We are pleased to introduce to you The Dathan Project. We are a not for profit organization committed to alleviating the suffering caused by natural disasters and to provide opportunities for the less fortunate to develop means of becoming self-sufficient.
Our disaster relief fund provides much-needed help to victims of Hurricanes, floods, earthquakes and the like through the collection and distribution of nonperishable food items, water, toiletries, first aid kits, clothing, tents, toys, etc…
Our prevention and protection program works with institutions that conduct studies of areas easily affected by natural disasters to establish the infrastructure and systems needed to prevent or limit the damages that could be caused by these events.
Our Model City Program chooses a City in a rural area of Haiti to partner within development projects. These include building schools, hospitals, youth empowerment centers and establishing agricultural projects.
Our Self Determination program trains participants in cultivating emotional and physical health, ethical work habits and supports them in the planning and implementation of self-sustaining economic programs.
Our Socio-Cultural program promotes Haitian culture and artistic expressions to educate the public at large about the country of Haiti and its people living in Haiti and abroad. Through these activities, we hope to keep the audience interested in the cause of Haiti and encourage them to consistently contribute to its development.
Our Community Improvement Program purposes to help Haitians living in the United States to successfully assimilate in their new environment, provide structures to help them overcome various challenges and take advantage of the opportunities this country offers to lead successful lives.
No one foresees the arrival of a merciless natural disaster until it actually strikes. The effects are monstrous and the cries for help, incredibly loud. Haiti stands today as one of the greatest examples of this shocking tragedy, afflicted by a series of devastating storms—the latest being Hurricane Matthew, which disrupted the lives of nearly 1.4 million Haitians. We are a not for profit organization focused on rehabilitating the lives of displaced families and survivors, looking to rebuild their homes. Through your disaster relief donations, we provide community service opportunities to help them start anew. Join us as we share the fountain of hope in the heart of Haiti, where countless victims struggle to find their way back home.
